A Fun Day at The Zoo!

Our amazing staff at Changsha #1 is working hard to come up with some fun ideas for the children! Recently they asked us if they could take the children and their foster mothers to the zoo! We thought this was a wonderful idea.. So, at the end of March the group set out on their first adventure!!! It looks like they had a beautiful day. They also celebrated three special birthdays while they were there for "Gwynne, Ethan, and Luke!"

A great big thank you for the "B" family for making this day possible for the children! Most likely this was the first time that our sweet children have ever done something like this!

The Changsha Bamboo Babies!

We are blessed in Changsha with a wonderful group of foster families. Thanks to one of our special donors the children get together for special group outings monthly! They celebrate birthdays for our kids, and they have big meals together. They are looking forward to a fun zoo outing for the children soon! Many of our Changsha #1 children are starting to get placed with their forever families. It is a very special program, and we are so thankful to be a part of making it all happen!

We still have a need for one Changsha sponsor for Luke!

Looking For Forever Families! NOW!!

Rarely in China do we find Orphanage Directors that reach out for help. Well, the fabulous Director Wei at Changsha #1 in Hunan has done just that! She cares about her children, and she wants to find forever families for all of her charges! All of the children on this post are currently available on the shared list. Please help us find loving families for these beautiful kids!

This is Zander! Our team just met him when they were in Changsha a few weeks ago.

Let's just say they were smitten with this handsome boy!!!! "Zander" does have a MINOR special need, but based on what I have heard it does not slow him down one bit!!!! I can't wait to hear who is blessed with this little man! Zander turned 7 in November!

A visit to China and Changsha #1!

Our Pearl River team just returned from a ten day trip to China. The purpose of this trip was to visit the children, meet with the orphanage directors, evaluate our work in each province, and to thank all the foster mom's for the difference they are making in the lives of our Bamboo Babies!

Our team visited the homes of all of the Foster Mother's in Zanjiang and Changsha. Each Bamboo Baby received an Easter basket filled with toys that were developmentally appropriate. All of the foster mom's received training in their homes specific to the child living with them. Time was also spent evaluating living conditions, home safety and the development of each child. Lastly our team hosted appreciation dinners and lunches for all of our foster parents.

It was a worthwhile and productive trip! Thanks to Christina, Julie, Marissa and Shelby for taking the time to truly make a difference!
