A Fun Day at The Zoo!

Our amazing staff at Changsha #1 is working hard to come up with some fun ideas for the children! Recently they asked us if they could take the children and their foster mothers to the zoo! We thought this was a wonderful idea.. So, at the end of March the group set out on their first adventure!!! It looks like they had a beautiful day. They also celebrated three special birthdays while they were there for "Gwynne, Ethan, and Luke!"

A great big thank you for the "B" family for making this day possible for the children! Most likely this was the first time that our sweet children have ever done something like this!

Happy Birthday Gwynne!!!!!

This precious child has captured a lot of hearts since she joined Pearl River in October, 2010! Many of you inquired about her adoption status since her smile entered our world. Gwynne's best friend, "Heidi" was adopted in the summer and we continued to wait for her to be sharing the same joy in her heart. Monthly we continue to receive photos and updates of this happy girl.

Well I am thrilled to announce that "Gwynne" will never celebrate another birthday without her forever family. Sometime in August or September she will meet her very special Mama, Baba, 3 big brothers and sister! She will be named Gracie Joy, and she is going to be so loved! You can follow "Gwynne's" journey home, here! Connecting with the families adopting our babies is am amazing blessing!

By now" Gwynne" is tucked in after most likely a very fun day. Thanks to her very generous sponsors, the "W" family she was able to have a special party with her friends. She also most likely received a care package with the best gift of all.. The news that she has a family!

The Changsha Bamboo Babies!

We are blessed in Changsha with a wonderful group of foster families. Thanks to one of our special donors the children get together for special group outings monthly! They celebrate birthdays for our kids, and they have big meals together. They are looking forward to a fun zoo outing for the children soon! Many of our Changsha #1 children are starting to get placed with their forever families. It is a very special program, and we are so thankful to be a part of making it all happen!

Meet Grayson!!!

When one of our Bamboo Babies is adopted, another usually quickly replaces them... The goal of our program is to give our children the love and the hope they need until their forever families are ready for them! We just got news that precious Lucy was adopted!! If anyone knows her family, please get in touch with me!!!! One of the rewards of my job is sharing with new families, photos of their Bamboo Babies when they get home!
